Hema Malini, the beautiful actress who played Seeta Aur Geeta got the role as the producers could not afford the leading actress of that time – Mumtaz.
Seeta Aur Geeta changed the dynamics of the hero-centric film for a while at least. A fighting heroine along with a damsel in distress twin was the new concept.
