Namaste Jaipur and Namaste Mumbai Book reviews on Mums and Stories

We at Mums and Stories do love books that bring in the travel element in them.

So here we are to review two books received earlier last week.

Namaste Jaipur and Namaste Mumbai as the names indicate are about the cities they represent.

The Pink city and the Financial hub of India is brought alive through the story of three cute friends(two kids and a pet tiger cub Teevra embracing the colours, culture, enjoying the authentic cuisines, visiting the iconic tourist destinations and having a memorable trip.

Written by Rachana Chandaria -Mamania and Kavita Bafana , illustrated exceptionally well by Sandhya Prabhat, published by Little Ustaads Arts Private Limited; the books are of a fun journey and seeing the city with all its facets.

Both books have fun sheets and maps of Palace on wheels (in Jaipur) -its journey traced that might be of use for tourists and map of Mumbai respectively in Namaste Mumbai book.

If you have a child who loves travelling like you or you are a parent who is keen to keep your child abreast on various cities of India, then these are books for you.

Right from Hawa Mahal to Jantar Mantar in Jaipur to ghagras and camels, elephants to food like Dal bati churma or popular destinations like Marine Drive , Taj Mahal hotel, Hanging gardens to dabbawalas or Juhu beach -everything that makes Mumbai alive comes through a journey of the friends. So both books give you the real character of the cities.
