The Christmas Pig by J.K Rowling

The world needs positive vibes and authors like J.K Rowling are ensuring they take the kid’s imagination to new levels where they can be comfortably lost in the midst of words.

The book published by Hachette was released almost two months prior to Christmas. We thought it was apt to bring out the review now and we also had an amazing contest for the Christmas Pig on social media.

One boy and his toy are about to change everything…

The story goes on an imagination spree if toys could talk to kids and what about the scenario where a young boy loses his most adored toy.

Jack has experienced a few unforgetanable expereinces in his life- his parents’ divorce, changing schools and even homes to name a few

But it was his fabvourite toy- D.P or Dur PIg that has been his constant companion. But things go awry when one one his step-sister throws away DP. In his place, she later gifts him Christmas Pig to make up for the trauma caused. But it is indeed Christmas Pig who comes with a plan to find DP as Jack doesn’t accept the new replacement toy.

The chapters are in large font size and can be read to young kids or a read-along. It does make for a good collection and Mums and Stories recommends the book. Like Ickabog this too will find readers who will adore Christmas Pig. The book is for 7-13 year olds.
